DriveGK will be offering free keeper training to our registered AYSO Region 418 players according to the following Division Schedule:
Advanced Registration is required via the following link: https://www.drivegk.com/events/.
All sessions will be at the south goal of Turf Field #2. Each player must bring a ball and water bottle. Keeper gloves are helpful but not mandatory.
Our Region 418 gives over 3,000 kids the opportunity to learn, grow and develop in life and in soccer every year. We can only do this because of dedicated coaches like you. As a region, we offer ongoing resources to help you be the best coach you can be.
AYSO Region 418 has hired ELITE Soccer to support our coaches and their teams throughout the season. This is hands-on FIELD training for coaches and their teams with time slots offered every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of our spring season. Every coach has an option of 1 hour or 1.5 hour practice slots with ELITE licensed trainers. While there are no restrictions, shorter slots are recommended for younger divisions (U8 and U10), while longer slots are recommended for older divisions (U12 and up). Each successive week of the season will follow an age-appropriate curriculum similar to that offered in our “Practice Curriculum” area of the website.
With nearly 300 teams and 15 weekly training slots, please follow these guidelines to help your team get the best benefit from your training opportunity.
Communicate to your team the special opportunity they will experience. The Elite trainers have all played college level soccer and all have been certified to teach at the age-appropriate youth level of the team. In fact, the 2 trainers who will be working with us for the Free Team Training are Loyola University Men's soccer team coaches.
Coach and Trainer will work together in leading their team through skill development, fundamentals and game style drills to enhance everyone's abilities and fun on the field.
EXTRA BONUS: All training is done on Turf Field #2. This is a great treat for our young soccer stars to get expert training on a professional-style pitch.
Every coach is entitled to sign up their team (first come/first serve) in advance for any 1 time slot for the season. Additionally, if there are any time slots that have not been taken as of Monday for that week's training, a team is allowed to sign-up for additional training in one of those open time slots.
